Testimonials From Audience Members

John Boozman, U.S. Senator, Arkansas
"The Singing Men of Arkansas are a treasure - Director Michael Bedford and the ensemble move through pop, spirituals, romantic and sacred with musical dexterity that proves excellence is never out of style. I would be remiss if I didn't mention their patriotic prowess. The music is inspiring and the group is obviously committed to their craft. Arkansas can be proud to have this group call our great state home. I'm a fan and I believe you will be too!"

Gen Broyles (Mrs. Frank Broyles)
"Your group is truly amazing! Your voices filled the church with wonderful, beautiful voices and music. Thank you for your patriotic songs, which made me weep. And I thought I would melt into tears when you sang 'When I Fall in Love.' "

Dr. Eddie W. Jones, Professor, School of Music, University of Arkansas
"How I enjoyed your Men's Choir last evening! The music was appropriate and your men were intensely engaged from the softest pianissimo to the loudest fortissimo. The variety of dynamics was arresting and the phrasing was outstanding. If I had the time I would certainly love to be a part of this ensemble. Keep up the great work of spreading joy to the masses. "

Cynda Coats, Siloam Springs, Arkansas
"After attending the Christmas concert, my husband and I decided that this was an experience that we would like to share often. It was fun, uplifting, Christ-honoring entertainment, that was skillfully prepared and presented, demonstrating exceptional musicianship. We were so glad to have been introduced to this group's performances and look forward to enjoying the Singing Men of Arkansas as often as we can. Thank you and may God bless you abundantly."

Linda Burrows, Professional Pianist/teacher
"I was privileged to hear The Singing Men of Arkansas's Christmas concert yesterday afternoon and I must say that this group easily could perform on Broadway! Being a musician, my vehicle to God has always been through music, and my best description of their program is as John Denver's song suggests "They filled up my senses!". My heart was touched with the sensitivity of the softer carols, and it soared mightily with their powerful offering of "The Hallelujah Chorus"! I can't say enough about the vocalists and their obvious talent, but each soloist was fantastic, the instruments added so much, and Jonathan Story completed the program sharing his hard work and technique on the piano. The dancers were so beautiful, so poised, and added an element to the afternoon that was so pleasing as well.
I remember one other performance that moved me as yesterday did, and it was the concert I attended last year by The Singing Men of Arkansas ! . I hope to be in attendance for all future programs. Rarely is my heart treated to such excellence!
Thank you!"

Nathan Purifoy, Campus Director, Baptist Village of Owasso, Oklahoma
"It was a smash hit! I have gotten nothing but rave reviews from everyone I've talked to. We had our resident council meeting this morning and when they brought up the concert the people started clapping. Thank you very much for taking the time and effort to come minister to us. They won't forget it."

Sean O'Healy, Chief Executive, Galway Hospice Foundation, Galway, Ireland
"Thank you for choosing Galway Hospice as the beneficiary of your concert in Galway. We value and appreciate every event that is held in our benefit, but even more so when the event is born of such conviction, wrapped in such excellence, and delivered with such passion.", "You certainly believe in excellence. It was a privilege to listen to (and watch) a choir sing with such unity of purpose and voice.  Well done!"

Debby Furry
"What a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon being entertained and inspired by such wonderful music. I was moved to tears by the wonderful power of harmony!"

Duane Blakley, Minister of Music, Barcelona Road Baptist Church, Hot Springs Village, Arkansas
"We at Barcelona Road Baptist Church in Hot Springs Village greatly enjoyed the recent concert by the Singing Men of Arkansas. The men looked great and sounded great under the direction of an outstanding conductor in a variety of excellent music. We especially appreciated the classical selections, but enjoyed the entire program. The barbershop quartet added spice to an already delicious serving of tasteful choral music. We hope to have the group back next year."

Darlene McLean
"The talented men with their awesome voices blended was just so inspirational. I could have listened to them for hours...I feel so blessed that I was able to attend this concert."

Mark Maier, Associate Pastor of Worship/Music, First Baptist Church, Rogers, Arkansas
"Great concert! Loved the energy, excellence, and expression. You gave us great variety, and did an outstanding job with vowel unification, warming the sound. I'm also thankful for your faith that you demonstrated. Keep up the great work."

Patricia Parr
"The presentation at Central United Methodist Church in Fayetteville was superb. My spirit soared as I listened to the richness of all those voices. I pray the Lord’s blessing on each of you and your friends. Numbers 6:24-26."

Nancy and Darrell Oliver
"We were blessed by the quality and the selection of music. The talent was very evident in the entire performance, such talented musicians, singers, dancers and Director."

Carolyn Moore
"Absolutely excellent, most entertaining, the reason for Christmas done beautifully, so glad I got to be there. This was one (of the) best shows I have ever experienced at the Convention Center."

Garry Bruch, Sr., Managing Director, Arend Arts Center
"There were several people last night at the concert that go to our church in Rogers. Across the board every single one of them said this was the finest concert they had ever seen. Darren and I agree. It was a great joy to see so many work and perform together with so much passion and indeed fun in their hearts."

Barbara Merritt
"What a wonderful performance! I was truly blessed, and my sister, who has cancer, was able to attend with me and you thrilled her heart as well."
