Singing Men of Arkansas Mourn Death of Co-Founder
September 10, 2009

The Singing Men of Arkansas mourn the death of one of our founding members, Will Pruett. Will’s vision of a professional men’s choir in Northwest Arkansas was set into motion in October of 2007.

In less than two years the group has grown from a concept to a fifty-plus member auditioned choir. Will worked tirelessly to promote and organize the chorus which has men from all walks of life. As business manager, he kept the books straight, organized auditions, welcomed all those who were interested, and secured our 501(c)(3) non-profit status.

Will brought a rich background of Naval discipline, banking organization, and outstanding musical experience. We will all miss his hard work and fatherly guidance, as well as, his sweet tenor voice.

The Heavenly chorus must have needed a leader in the tenor section.
So long, Will … ‘til we meet again.

Singing Men of Arkansas is set to begin the fall semester on Tuesday, September 8th, 2009, at 7:00 pm. Auditions and rehearsals will once again be held in the choral facilities of George Junior High School on Powell Street in Springdale.
